Ask Yourself...

#55

What expectation do I need to let go of right now?

(Answer In The Comments Below )
From "100 Of The Most Powerful Questions You Can Ask Yourself"

Nothing has the power to completely alter perspective and therefore your thoughts and actions and life quite like a question. Inquiry leads to understanding. The quality of the answers we arrive at, correspond directly to the quality of question we ask. The better the question, the better the answer. One of the most important things to realize about a question is that a person learns far, far more from the process and work involved in answering a question than from the answer itself. This is why spiritual teachers throughout history (including myself) have tended to pose so many questions to their students rather than to simply offer a direct answer. For this reason, I have selected a collection of 100 of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself.

Make sure to take time to carefully consider each question that is posed in order to meaningfully answer them. And don’t forget to come back to these questions again and again throughout your life, especially whenever you are feeling stuck, because the answers will most likely change over the course of your life and also cause you to change your course in life.

I let go of the expectation that someone or something outside of me will come and save me or make things change. I welcome my decision and my courage and my power.

The expectation I need to let go of is having the life I want right now even though I’ve lost the capability to want to network. I’m over life not being how I want it even though I’ll tell a loved one what I want and they’ll walk all over me.  If I don’t have people close to me(putting energy in their unavailability/ lack of understanding of my emotions) then I can at least receive less manipulation while I build my individuality(that gets drowned out by having a identity crisis all my life) so I don’t get hurt relationally or hurt anyone relationally. Basically go to work and come back. And write and exercise. Basically stop juggling my relationship with myself and others. I want to come first.

The expectation that things are gonna go tits up...I keep expecting the worst and it usually happens as a result...maybe things might work out great....but my default seems to be the worst possible outcome

I need to let go of the expectation to not make mistakes and the expectation that things are just gonna happen or fix themselves without me putting in any conscious effort for this to happen

The expectation that things should go exactly my way and if they don't, life is terrible and I'm a failure.

I want to let go of the idea that I need to become the purest/perfect version of myself.

That felt so relieving to write ❤️ Thank you.

The expectation I need to let go of right now is he can’t fulfill all of your needs. So, what need can he fulfill is the question.

That everything has to be working out perfectly RIGHT NOW. Or I'll go on scapegoating beeing active at allXD

Probably perfectionism. That I should be done with certain things until a certain time, or else I probably forgett all things I need to get done.

...... lolololololol......

That I might one day magically find a foolproof method of leaving this shit life.

If I could let go of this, I could probably put enough effort into finding a method that's closer to being foolproof than everything I've deeply considered thus far, but as with anything I could be wrong about that.

Fuck absolutely everything

That I can only do as much as I can, and my will and mental powers wont overpower external forces.

That many things are abseloutly not the way I want them to be.

That I need to be in reality and make small steps.
