Intuition vs. fear. That gave me a lot to think about. I never thought about them as different parts, but I guess you could say it was by focusing attention on parts giving messages that I developed intuition. Intuitions that later proved to be true intuitions, and not suspicion or fear, were always about people and situations that I wasn't aware of at the time, and lasted until I became conscious of the source. For example, if a person pops into my mind and the message goes away I have a clue to what it's about. Synchronicity usually plays a part in finding the source too.
It's hard say whether I could distinguish intuition from fear based on Teal's comments. For me sometimes intuitions consist of a sudden deep feeling of sadness that is completely unrelated to my thoughts or situation at the time. Disconnection combined with a strong emotion. Usually though I feel intuition viscerally as heat, nearly irresistible gravity, spider webs or unintended hand movements. Again there's emotion involved and a disconnection from my mind, but intuition for me has a strong connection to my body. It's complicated. These days I just outsource it to my cat. Her intuition is almost at Teal level.
You can always do experiments. I ignored intuition once a couple of years ago just to see what would happen. I dare ya.
