  3. The Defective Doll in this Ask Teal episode refers to your dysfunctional relationship with your parents or kids. It deals with your perception of who your child or parent is versus who you want them to be. Teal Swan explains that by seeing this dysfunctional dynamic we can truly see our relationships for what they are, and in turn heal them. 4. Should I quit my job even though I have nothing else lined up Hi all, I would like some opinions. I am no longer a vibrational match to my job. I have been fighting the feeling of leaving for over 4 years now but I have finally come to a point in my life where I can't work even if I go to my job. I just sit there staring at my computer screen barely doing one or two things in an 8 hour time span. And a voice in my head keeps telling me that I am wasting my time there. I want to quit but I have a fear that if I leave the job I won't be able to pay my bills. Furthermore, I don't want to have a job. I have a lot of resistance to getting jobs so I usually don't keep them. There is something else I want to do with my life but I am not making progress because of a fear of failure and I have a lot of inner blockages, namely shame and worth issues. I have been working on these issues so that I can make progress in my life. But these are not issues that go away with a snap of the finger. I know it is not such a smart idea to quit this job when I don't have anything else going for me yet. But for some reason, I feel with every fiber of my bone that I should be spending all my time on this project/idea that I have. But fear of failing is holding me back. I am so confused and frustrated that I don't know what I should think or do. Should I honor my feelings and do what makes me feel good or stick to logic and grind it out at this job even if I am so unhappy that I have been diagnosed as clinically depressed. I have no one to rely on to pay my bills but I do have savings. My fear is that if I run out of savings and my project didn't work out, I would have to go get another job again to survive. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
  5. Trust Hi guys, I am wondering...I met a guy at one point. I felt a strong inexplicable attraction to him. My mind wasn't understanding, my body was going towards him. I was and still am with someone. He was with someone, ended up getting married to the woman, she was pregnant. He was telling me that he wants a connection with me, he feels my energy and wants us to grow spiritually together. He did not seem to lie, but in his mind (as he was explaining) the connection we would end up having had nothing to do with his soon to come marriage or with my relationship. We ended up growing a relationship that was, from his point of view not sexual, not the primary interest but that it would not exclude it since the connection through sex would be much deeper. I felt attraction, a combination of sexual but also...an inexplicable sensation of "i am being understood, deep inside". Well, needles to say...we ended up having sex, i felt bad about it, wanted to stop. My best friend came into the picture, feeling the same attraction to the guy (but not sexual...a strong attraction of "home" - as she said). They ended up talking a lot, his focus went rapidly from me to her. She blocked him (as she said, but told him she felt the attraction with no interest). I ended up furiously jealous, because i felt that something more than a friendship was building there, but both denied it. 3 days after i said i am out of this (relationship triangle) they ended up "figuring out" that they do have feelings for each other. The man married his wife while wanting to build a relationship with me and waiting on a kid, while building a relationship with my ex best friend). He wants (so he said) to divorce her since he cannot connect to her as he needs. I am trying my heart out to find an explanation for this situation that my heart and head can understand so i can let go. I am hurt by my friend more because she trusts him more than me. Somehow (she states) i misunderstood the situation and all his explanations make sense. She is a very experienced person, someone that (from what she states) rarely misjudges a person and has a very good connection with her intuition. Can anyone (and i know that my best bet to figure this out is to ask him) help with showing a perspective in which what happened had a good intention, that he, somehow did have a positive intention. Thanks!!:* P.S. I know I attracted this. I am aware i'm not a victim, the whole situation came so i can resolve my issues, that i am aware of. Somehow, this reason is not enough for me to have peace with what happen...
  6. Recognising feelings Hi! Has Teal done a video on the topic on recognising feelings? I have interest in being able to distinguish between feelings, sometimes they are all mixed up and I dont know how to put a 'name' to them. Like, I want to know and recognise and be able to 'be friends' with my feelings. But I dont know what I am exactly feeling. Does that make sense? 🙂Any video links are much appreciated ✌🏻️
  7. The Silence Technique by Teal Swan. Sometimes words actually hurt relationships because they are used to cover up our emotions rather than authentically communicate our emotions to the other person. This technique of silence is used to follow our feelings and emotions and cut through the words that sometimes confuse rather than help. Teal Swan is an International Spiritual Leader. 8. Why Don’t We Recognize Our Own Positive Emotions? It is sometimes easier to recognize and appreciate positive emotions in others than ourselves. We say or think things like, that person is so loving, or so appreciative, or so happy. We may be impressed by those feelings in others, but dismiss the importance of, or even not recognize, those emotions in ourselves. At least, I know I do that sometimes, and I think others do that too. Many people, including myself, will be more alert to the sensation of negative emotions like anger, frustration and fear. We can feel the effect on our body, and take note of it to alert us that something is “wrong”, that we are disturbed or stressed by something we are thinking. But will not, as a general rule, take note of positive emotions the same way. They will not alert of us of something being “right”. So what is that about? Why don’t we recognize our own positive emotions as much as negative ones? That is, for those of us who do that? Some others will suppress the negative emotions, which is not healthy either. Both positive and negative feelings are beneficial to notice. Maybe we ignore positive emotions because as children we were just expected to be happy, and therefor it was considered the “normal” state? Or perhaps it is different reasons for different people? I really don’t know. But one thing seems certain. We can only ever truly experience our own emotions. And I think when we don’t really recognize or appreciate our own positive emotions, we are missing out on the best thing life has to offer. We are missing the opportunity to feel the positive all there is. Seeing someone else as loving, appreciative or happy is great. But deeply feeling these and other positive emotions in ourselves, that’s where we connect with our own divine nature. I think that this direct experience of positive emotions is where we tap into the energy and inspiration to be our best selves. And to be most helpful to ourselves and others. There is a lot that goes into understanding emotions, our own and others, and their importance, and how to change emotions. Below are links some of Teal’s work on the subject. I look forward to hearing your thoughts, and hope that what I wrote is helpful. 11. I've wanted so much since childhood but had no way to achieve things that would have lead to owning my own power, shine my personality for others to see, benefit from me, enjoy my presence. I had so many ambitions and yet I've yet to really realize any of them. I know it's never too late though.. but i feel so empty inside, No experience, a faulty personality, etc.. -for my art and musical inspiration/talent to name the main things- ( I still have bouts of major creativity and high vibes but feel so fake and stuff during most of them. fake as in some wannabe. even wanted to make a legit youtube channel. not as an escape but to really just get myself out there and meet like-minded n' sweet and seasoned people. I also like how more and more people are doing it now. so i feel a pull to do it too. but then i get this feeling of how interesting am i really, y'know? ) I want to just spread good will and absolute joy and laughter. I've never had the real chance to party either. Like those kinds where nobody is left out.. where real stuff happens... full of real people.. not just at parties.. but where the real stories happen. Mine is convoluted and rather boring and becoming more and more boring and stagnant with each year that passes. my family too also doesn't seem to be changing much either. I got no safety nets. no real life friends who i have any history with. That's all for now. -
  12. hi tribe, How to articulate feelings or emotions or experiences, like out of body experiences? I have no answer so I am giving it up to you! Thanks, in advnce. Love Delina
  13. So i am wondering if anybody else has had the same experience as i have... As a child, my only comfort was in music, so i have always been able to 'feel' through the words and effects of a song. I always knew all the words and could manipulate my voice to sound like the singers, always getting compliments about my singing. I have found that more and more as i find out and follow my true calling that the strangest thing happens. I created a playlist to kinda boost me on the "low" days, if that makes sense, but now, when i do things that took courage or that just feel right or even am just in circumstances where i am aligned with my real life, i hear all of those songs play on either my car radio or the music playing in a mall or department store or anywhere else... Some days, i hear each and every one of the songs on my playlist playing one after the other as i am driving to or from somewhere and its like it just fills me with hope and faith in myself and my future. It is like the music is actually like my private fan club, telling me that what i am doing or where i am now is exactly where i should be and egging me on with all the energy this world has to give. Am i just noticing the songs more or what do you guys think? I am open to any opinions... I hope i am not alone in this, but i suppose it doesn't REALLY matter either way, right? lol.
