  1. Follow Your Joy or Addiction? How can I tell if doing what I want to do is “following my joy” or just an impulse to feed my addictive behavior? I feel I am addicted to videogames, to the point that I’ve missed sleep, avoided social situations, and missed work days to play videogames. I get confused when I hear that I should “follow my joy” and “do what feels good” when all I can think about is playing more videogames. I’m trying to quit gaming, but now I feel worse, and I think I was using gaming to cope with deep feelings of loneliness, grief, and powerlessness. Is playing videogames justified if it helps me to cope with a painful situation I’m stuck in, even if it continues my addictive pattern? How do I even figure out what gives me joy when all I can hear in my mind is the scream of my addiction telling me to play more videogames?
  2. Addiction- Need help Hi, I belong to a well-reputed family. I was married to a person from another well-reputed family. In our province, we were one of the wealthiest families. But now we are one among the poorest families. Until last two months, our family life was wonderful, filled with love and care. But from few months my husband is involved in gambling. This is affecting our family life a lot. He is not finding time for my kids, not even for me. He comes home late. Initially, I thought he was busy with his office work. Later I came to know that he was busy with gambling. Because of his gambling, our happiness has gone. As he was losing money in gambling, he was being depressed. I spoke with his best friend. He told me that, he had advised my husband to stop this gambling. But my husband is addicted to it. How can I get him out of this gambling? His friend suggested undergoing gambling addiction treatment program from a clinic in Edmonton. Will this help? Please give your suggestions.

  5. being disconnect with your higher self. I'm still playing around with eating and I ate too much today and it wasn't even a lot, but my body freaked out and I felt like shit and threw up because I was so full and I lost my connection to my higher self, which sucks!! it was just a learning experience to remind me that some people are there and below and they are so far away from their higher self, they are stuck in the ego with all of its self deprecating thoughts and programming, and if its a horrible program it wont change because they cant see outside of that limited ego perspective or the collective consciousness. I forgot why I need to stop eating, we have these 2 engines, 1 the physical, which is food and the other is just vibration(6d consciousness state) and you are constantly connected to your higher self in that vibration and the ego is just auto correcting itself in that state, and only the now exists in that state. so food lowers your vibration and keeps you in the ego with all of its programming and it questions if all this spiritual stuff is real and if the higher self is real, maybe its in denial and its all bullshit, but when you turn on the vibration engine(non physical) where your higher self is constantly on you can change your beliefs and your beliefs change your life, and the ego doesn't want to die(the old version of your ego) it doesn't like to be told its wrong and it does have a shit tone of power, the higher self tells it it is powerful. It needs to be in that higher self state for a while, like months without any food, drinks are fine, but the other ego engine needs to be off so nothing solids coming in, otherwise the ego becomes louder than the higher self, and it wont be auto correcting any of the beliefs that don't benefit you. That sucked... I got it back though, Phew! its very real by the way, living this way. have a good day/night!

A human being cannot thrive in an atmosphere of stress. When a human being goes into a state of distress, wellbeing immediately declines. And so, it is only natural that we should want to make a change to the situation as fast as we possibly can. But often the situation that is causing us distress cannot be eradicated. It is out of our control to eradicate the stressor. So we are forced to manage with it, deal with it and adapt to it. We adapt to distress through coping mechanisms. But those coping mechanisms that save us, also become out prison. In this episode, Teal tells us how to let go of a coping mechanism. http://www.askteal.com Kuan Yin's Mantra (c) 2002 Lisa Thiel Help us caption & translate this video! http://amara.org/v/VF4x/
  7. Connection and addiction I was reminded of something in the TT face book group and i wanted to share it here too. [Teal talked about this, that an experiment had been done with mice. One mouse was left alone and introduced to an addictive substance. The mouse went for it on his own. When that mouse was introduced to a group of mice that one mouse did not even go near that addictive thing even if the substance itself was there. sadly i find myself in this exact situation, and i dont even do drugs, alchohol, meds or smokes. Literally anything can become addicting when the connection we seek is unavailable through people. You then have got to focus what substance is the least damaging.] I find myself in a challenging space because most addicts tend to be drawn to these unhealthy substances while im not. The vibe is the same but the thing we addict ourselves to is different so i feel unable to connect to them over a beer, smoke or any recreational drug. Heck even the processed sugar use is a drug and i practice to lessen that so i cant really connect over a "fika" either (fika is a swedish word for when 2 or more get together to eat pastries, cookies or cake and have a nice time by talking too). Sooo yea. oh by the way i practice lessening the processed food all together so health wise im very healthy relatively speaking. Without that thing to connect or bond over i find myself in a rough spot. I wonder...are there any here who is in a similar situation or feel similarly?
  8. Current cosmological theories describe the physical universe we live in as a 3 dimensional hologram of a 4 dimensional universe that we cannot experience directly but that becomes evident when exploring the particle/wave contradiction in the behavior of light or Heisenberg's uncertainty in the movement of electrons or gravity. This cosmological theory seems to describe the very relationship that mystics and psychics have been describing for hundreds of years. This would suggest that we are indeed 4 dimensional beings whose higher selves are capable of experiencing the 4 dimensional parent universe but our 3 dimensional minds struggle to translate the experience into coherent descriptions to share within three dimensional experience. It then raises the question of who or what we are within the four dimensional universe and why the need for an experience of a three dimensional experience. Could it be that enlightened consciousness is so pervasively universal in the 4 dimensional universe that limiting ones self to 3 d allows those who travel through our world to appreciate theirs by training their spirit to be both one and separate? Or is it more like the experience of the addict who attains recovery but retains the awareness of the depths of selfish depravity into which we are capable of sinking? Is this life a test for the spiritual beings who manifest in our universe to lose their awareness of their oneness only to regain it with the wisdom borne of suffering?
