By opting into the nature genetics and nurture experiences within a family, what you are really doing is to (metaphorically speaking) opt into a deck of cards. You need to learn how to either change or exalt your crappy cards as well as to capitalize on your good cards that were given to you as a result of belonging to the family that you belonged to.  Everyone has both transgenerational gifts and burdens to sort through.  Everyone has both experiential gifts and burdens to sort through.
