I feel the split between career vs motherhood.
Personally I don’t want to be a mom, or at least a mother by birth. I see myself adopting a child instead of giving birth to one. But then I think about all the things I loose: quiet, freedom, really digging into my career and grow from there.
But I realize this is unexpected from someone who got married last august. Everyone expects me to be a mom soon. And when I say I don’t want to be a mom yet, I feel the drawing back, as if it makes me less reliable, less woman or even human. Or I am not taken seriously, since “you are going to change your mind when the biological clock starts ticking” as if I don’t mean what I say 😒
And then I feel the pressure to “become a man”, but at the same time I’m not sure if I know what feminine power is either. What I do feel is that I would like a less competitive work environment and more cooperation.
Dont know how to achieve that in today’s society, or at least here where I live.
