I am in Portland, Oregon. Since landing here, I have been greeted with a juxtaposition of two opposing spiritual practices. The first, “I create my own reality”. The practice of controlling your thoughts so as to make life what you want life to be. The second, “Control is an illusion and nothing more than a resistance to what is.” The practice of awareness, acceptance and dis identification with the ego.
