    Today's Mission

Once we move away from the mechanical view we see the interrelations between things in a much more wholistic view. Energy flows like water. The waters of the earth comprise a system not unlike the waters of the body. The earth then can be seen as an organism with circulatory systems, skin, organs all in dynamic balance with each other. The cosmic universe reflects the subatomic. Try holding all that in your head for a moment; it'll blow your mind!

Thanks Teal, yes I agree we in the west tend to have a mechanized view of Chakras as though they were gears in an energy machine or switches in a circuit board when in fact they are much more like vortices, eddies in a stream of water, Chi energy, where the water turns and swirls and the flows on. By this analogy can we expect lesser Chakras to arise and dissipate as the flow moves and changes?

    to hello

    Dear Marianne,

What a national treasure you are! No one has asked me to reply in my own words since Obama and his kitchen cabinet. I believe we are now too late to stop the coming environmental collapse we have caused by our disdain for life and failure to be good stewards of our world. Even if that is true we can't stop trying to mediate the damage and renew the natural systems that support all life on earth.

Our currently fractured political system began when churches began to build their own schools to teach the Moral Majority values of creationism and obedience to higher authority that was embodied by right wing preachers and right wing politicians. The political solution involves recognizing that the fears of the people on the right are real and what they see and fear is true but that the 1% and their self seeking politicians have seen an opportunity to exploit these fears to gain power and manipulate the system for personal advantage.

We need to love the right but hate the lies, we need to speak to the peoples fears but tell the truth about what it will take to save the world, you of all the candidates can do that because you feel the pain and know that Trump has tapped into the "shadow soul" of America. We fear the uncontrollable violent uncivilized Other, whether Black or foreign they are the source of all our problems because they are the source of our fears so it's easy to point that fear into a justification for banishing them from our shores, jailing them to protect our families, targeting their children, seeing them as inhuman and killing.

The truth is the only way to combat fear is with love! We need to revision immigrants and minorities as our salvation, their working can save social security, their labor can rebuild America, their diversity can reignite the American Dream as available to all people all races all religions world wide. Their love of the earth as shown by their worship of nature can re-green our country and our world through wise use of resources and partnering with good science to mitigate the coming environmental collapse that "Inconvenient truth" that apocalyptic vision from Silent Spring and The Day after Tomorrow and others..

It only takes a moment to kill, it takes a lifetime to grow a man or a tree. Love encourages growth and loving change, it encourages unity in our diversity, it encourages good stewardship of resources and points to sustainable practices as a way of safeguarding our grand children's future, it points to peace and it expects we will all share in both the bounty and the pain, it points to the commonality of fears and loves we all share regardless of color, language, culture. If we focus on what we have in common instead of our differences we are all the same  We can't kill those who are the same as us, they are us! We must share with those who have less by teaching them how to have more and they can teach us how to be happier with less and appreciate having time for family, friends and fun.

I hope this helps! I'd love to continue the conversation but i gotta go now. Love and peace...

Hey Teal what do you think of Marianne's campaign?

  5. Intention matters but so does presentation. If it is intended as a complement it should be taken as a complement but if is presented in such a way as to seem sarcastic or abrasive then most people will hear the tone louder than the words. If I give someone a thumbs up and they are from the middle east they may see it as if I've given them the finger! If I want to communicate effectively then it is up to me to be aware of the nonverbal cues I'm sharing and adjust them to the culture and sensitivities of the person I'm trying to communicate with.

  6. Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

If it doesn't yield the fruit of the Spirit it isn't Holy!

  7. Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

  8. Do you get the attention you want...no? How about an attitude of gratitude for what you have? Namely the freedom to pay attention to what you like and love. If you want more attention then pay more attention. If you want more love be more loving. If you want more peace be more peaceful. If you want more joy be more joyful. If you want others to do better then reward those who do better with your love and attention. Stop giving all your time and attention to those who irritate you or those who anger you or those who abuse you it rewards them for being jerks and makes them worse!

  9. It's time to open up the idea of psychedelic assisted therapy as an effective alternative to traditional psychotherapy. Repeal the controlled substances act, treat addiction as a medical problem, bring our children home who are rotting in jail for nonviolent drug crimes, take the money out of illegal drugs and stop funding cartels and narco-terrorists and convince our churches that psychedelic induced visions are a spiritual experience so they can be the supportive community we need them to be.

  10. So here's what I'm doing about the lack of inclusivity in my church! Does your community need a Hippie Church too?

  11. That is a rare insight, that most people who do good do it for inherently selfish reasons but ultimately there is nothing wrong with that if you are conscious of your motivations and the payoff that comes from helping others. It's that unconscious motivation and exploitation of others and the self justification that allows us to exploit others needs for our own profit all while bragging about how selfless we are being. Being conscious of our motivations leads to becoming conscious of our own pain and how it can trap us into hurting others to soothe the pain in the short term when what we need is to become aware of the source of the pain, face it and address it in order to overcome it and banish it from our subconscious to our conscious mind. It may still hurt but you have overcome its ability to control your thoughts and actions from behind the veil of personality. Pain is not who we are it is rather the result of painful experiences that happened in the past that couldn't be resolved at the time and so left scars or sores that could be reopened by current events, triggers that remind us of that old pain. the more of those we accumulate the less loving, empathetic and selfless we can be and the more selfish hurtful and callous we become. I know that you and your brother and sister have experienced a lot of pain but I am encouraged when i hear you addressing the pain in a courageous manner. That's what the way of the warrior is all about. We must battle our own internal demons and overcome them before we can ever be successful or satisfied with anything in the outside world. Be blessed son. Ttys.

  12. Maybe it's just me. Does no one else care that the Forum is missing from the new web page.? Is it because i use Firefox and not Microsoft?

My heart is breaking for all those folks I used to hear in the Forum asking questions of their community. I could only answer a few, but I tried to help those i could and occasionally rebuked a few who seemed lost in anger and tangled in the need to judge others so they didn't have to look at their own pain. I love all you guys. I love you too Teal.

    peace

So what can we do about it? How can we revive the forum without the trolls and the abuse?

Have a team who responds therapeutically to trolls and abusers. Add a button that sends them to a therapeutic team and blocks them from your Forum.

  13. What ever happened to the Forum. I realize it had gotten superceded by Facebook and other social media pages but it still served a need for lost souls to connect with needed support and encouragement. Haters had invaded but not taken over to my mind. I'll be very disappointed if it's gone. I thought Teal set that up so no one would ever be alone.

I guess I have to admit it served my need to be needed and to help others who are struggling with anger, depression, isolation and rejection as i did in my teens and 20's. Childhood trauma is just becoming a topic of research and the need for building Resilient communities seems to parallel Teal's work in self love and healing the hurt by embracing the pain as a way to the root cause. Authenticity anyone?

  14. Hi Tribe, so good to be back online. I'm here to serve. How can i help?

  15. Glad to hear you are visiting your parents. Reconnecting with my Father as an adult was a big moment in my personal growth. We were separated for most of my early life and reconnecting was hard but well worth it! Many years later I participated in his funeral at the request of my Stepmother who had not wanted to acknowledge me but later came to accept me and include me in family functions. She passed away last week and I was honored to be asked to participate in her memorial service. Growth and change is always possible even after long periods of estrangement. Share the love!

    Free Will

Having a clear understanding of what those consequences may be requires clear thinking and an understanding of the lies we tell ourselves and the unreasonable expectations we have about the world around us. Understanding where the desires arise from in our own minds require a clear view of our unconscious selves, inner child and prior socialization, something that seldom comes without deep introspection, shadow work and psychological or spiritual counseling. Being unconscious is easy, becoming enlightened and aware of our inner selves takes work.

    Free Will

I frequently find folks who seem to confuse freedom and the law of attraction with freedom from consequences. Being responsible is accepting responsibility for the consequences of and for our actions. I can choose whatever I want but if I choose to break laws or violate others freedom then the consequences can be dire.
  18. Death by cupcake! What a way to go.

    Death

Yes, I think you should do an episode on Death and Dying. I'll be 70 this year (Nov) and so dying has become a much more immediate concern. I spent many years working as a Paramedic in part because I wanted to learn more about death and dying. I went on to be a Pastor in part to help others deal with the fear of death and dying. I have been present when others have died and felt and seen their spirits leaving their bodies. It's an awesome experience and an awesome responsibility. Be blessed, you are a great blessing to us all!
  20. Thanks for the closed caption option. Big help! How wise of you Teal to know when to hand over control to others and when to take control. Be Blessed, you are all a blessing to us. Grace and peace...

    Funny Story

Thank you Teal! That made me laugh. Our perspective is everything, how we see the world determines what world we live in and how we go about trying to solve our problems. I just posted a video about coral reef restoration in Belize! We can complain about how things are in our world. We can blame our situation on the things or people around us or we can try to understand what's happening and work to make things better. You made my day better just by telling me a funny story. You make our lives better by sharing your wisdom about how to be better people and how to help others do the same! Be ble
  22. If you want a better world, be a better person! If you want more love be more loving. If you want more respect, be more respectful. If you want more peace, be more peaceful. The law of attraction doesn't say we get what we want, it says we get what we are. If you want a better life, be a better person. Be blessed, be a blessing.
  23. Dear Teal, I see what you are saying here but people are not hardware stores and relationships change. My wife and I have gone through a lot of changes since my retirement and her illness. I found myself angry and depressed after retirement because of the loss of my career and the relationships it provided. I tried part time jobs and volunteer positions but they didn't fulfill those needs and she couldn't either. I began to seek out new friends and new relationships that stimulated me and fulfilled my unmet needs. This could have interfered with our relationship but because of her trust and pa

    3 Things

I agree with love of speaking, tests and emotional processing. i spent 15 years as a pastor preaching every Sunday as well as teaching and counseling, I also spent 15 years as a professional substance abuse counselor so I am very much into helping others process as well as doing my own processing. 25 years sober and yes Teal is right on about what is lacking in the field currently. That's part of what attracted me to her teaching; you have to embrace the pain and use it as a guide to what needs help and healing ie shadow work. I always loved tests in school, they were like puzzles and i love p
