    You are looking at generational trauma from a worldly point of view not a spiritual point of view. Your spirit is not limited to what is, but can interact with past, present, future and all possible alternatives. Even on this limited 3D earthly plane you can heal others trauma by example, through intellectual interaction, loving touch and mere presence. Reiki, massage, counseling and collective worship all seek to accomplish this kind of healing. Please don't limit yourself so severely, you have a much greater effect on the world and the people around you than you can possibly know.

    I disagree, kind of, I think we focus on healing the upstream trauma and dysfunction in the spiritual realm. Praying the love of Christ into past dysfunctions changes the whole vibration of that generational curse and heals generations past heals relationships as they come down to you and that then shows up as breaking the stronghold of generational curses for the future generations! So yes you see the greatest effect in the future generations but you do the work with the past often generations already passed from this world to change the dysfunctional patterns in the present and moving forwar

    Roy Rogers! Most of you won't remember the old TV show but Roy was a modern day cowboy who took care of cattle owned land and made a place for others. He was often asked to help by the local sheriff but at the end of the episode he went home to Dale Evans his wife and back to the place where he belonged. I grew up in my Grandparents home so i never really felt like I belonged there and i always wanted to be in a place where i could help others who were lost and alone and didn't fit in.

    Thanks Teal! One of the joys of living in community is that my lifestyle has changed little with the pandemic. I'm still closely surrounded by my small community. I go to town weekly instead of daily. I miss the camaraderie of music and spiritual gatherings but those have continued as online events or social media connections. Life is good! i wear my mask in the grocery and keep a little more social distance with others outside our community. I feel more caution than fear. I respect the risk and try to keep myself and others reasonably safe without succumbing to fear which makes me miserable o

    I watched the Video on AND Consciousness and was struck by the similarity to other inclusive concepts. The idea that the church can be both the repository for tradition and history but at the same time open to innovation and exploration. Both and. But the thing that struck me the most was when i looked at being both at the same time i felt great compassion. Exactly as the Buddha taught. When i can entertain and accept the two opposing concepts i can feel both as myself and love both as parts of a continuum. Love is taking something as yourself. Love everyone. Tell the truth.

    I'm proud of the things I have helped build, start or create. I live in a community of four dwellings on two acres where we work together to help each other recover from the various traumas we've experienced. We are also recovering the land we are on. When we bought it 10 years ago it was almost all sand, since then we have planted trees and shrubs, built up the soil with the help of our animals, dogs, cats and chickens and built raised beds for vegetable/herb gardens.     What if we are responding to this Corona Virus all wrong? We need to quarantine high risk groups not the whole population. Let the rest keep up the economy with appropriate safeguards, masks, gloves, and social distance, and focus on high risk populations and good medical care plus research into effective treatments and developing vaccines. I spent ten years as a Paramedic. This seems more like a practice run for martial law than good medicine.

    I feel fear but then am reminded that I am familiar with death. Nothing to fear there. I fear suffering and loss but I've dealt with both before. I worry for friends who aren't as at peace as i am so I try to offer comfort and support and that comforts me too. This too shall pass! I am angry at our politicians who are doing more damage to our economy with shutdowns and quarantines than the virus. I am angry at the media who promote fear and panic through their focus on the scary and ignore the reality. Mostly I feel love because I am at one with the Source of all, God, the Spirit, Love.     Was it Roosevelt during WW2 who said? "We have nothing more to fear than fear itself." Jesus and other spiritual teachers have said, "Fear not for I am with you." If we know we are eternal spirits merely visiting this earthly physical realm we should have no fear of death since it is merely a transition to the next world, the next plane of existence. None of us wants to suffer, be sick or spread the contagion. Let's not spread fear either. Be safe, be sane, be sober. Love everyone and help when and where you can. Peace!

    So is Corona virus a force of nature, natural selection as in, thin the herd of the old weak and slow or is it a weapon? Strange that it hit China, North Korea and Iran at the same time and first. Weren't these George Bush's axis of evil? Is this a response to the folks who attacked us with computer viruses and cyber warfare? Or is this a weapon we give ourselves first so we can recuperate first and attack our enemies while they struggle to deal with spreading infection?

    From my perspective, Borderline folks can't see boundaries and so are always crossing them without meaning to. Anti-social folks can see the others borders and boundaries but cross them because they know they shouldn't in order to cause discomfort and "shake things up a little."

    We used to say in the counseling field that the problem with "split personality" was that person only had two. Normal folks have a whole spectrum of personas to choose from. I find it perfectly understandable that you in your highly empathetic state would see all sorts of dysfunction within yourself but you get to choose the stuck individual is trapped in their dysfunctional pattern unable to choose or even perceive their own dysfunction.

    Dear teal, I was so disappointed when you redid the website and dropped the Forum. Facebook and social nedia just doesn't connect me with hurting people the way the forum did. I loved being able to respond to their struggles and share the love and the courage and the peace I've found in my own life. Please stay true to what you said was your motivation early on, not wanting anyone to be alone in their pain like you were as a young girl. Be Blessed, enjoy the ride!

    My brother Ray came to visit and it was our first Christmas together. He's my half brother and we didn't meet until we were both adults. We cooked, we ate, we talked. It was glorious!

    Maybe you need to become that which you seek. If there is no one out there to meet your needs then there is no one out there to meet anyone else's needs. If you've seen the need you've heard the call. I learned far more about solving my own problems by talking to others about theirs. Become a practitioner, become a healer, become a coach, become a friend.

    OK you got me! That's exactly what I've been going through. Blaming my family, wife and step-daughter for everything that's wrong. Problem is I've been blaming them for everything that's wrong with me! Traffic is a great tester of enlightenment. I found myself fussing about other people's driving then said,"you drive just like i do." and it's true the people who irritate me on the road are the one's who do the same things i do. Could that be true of my family as well? Yep. think so, but now I have to sort out how. Stay tuned...

    I guess I'm the only one here having a fabulous time. I just celebrated my 70th birthday, actually the sugar free cheesecake is in the fridge so I'm still celebrating. The Hippie Church ministry that I started to make a safe place for the LGBTQ community has been disavowed by the DS along with the local church that I had relied on for sponsorship and support. No wonder the traditional church is dying if they refuse to change or even explore the possibilities. But that's OK! I was called by God to do this ministry and I will continue.     There is a great scene in PD Ospensky's book IN SEARCH OF THE MIRACULOUS where GI Gurdieff comes to do a presentation drunk, late he stumbles and slurs his way through and at the end stands and in a clear strong sober voice says "it's the message not the messenger that's important." and leaves.
