Hi, I have a question for anyone who can help me figure this out. She talks about how our internal compass (our emotions) can be messed with as children and therefore we aren’t really following our highest truth in any given situation. I pulled this BlindSpot card the other day and even though she mentions it here I’m still confused as to how to fix this issue. I already find it hard to trust myself sometimes and as I learn to even allow my emotions to come up to the surface, it’s terrifying to know that what I feel might now be wrong? Plus I thought beliefs were what caused emotions in the first place so wouldn’t it be that the beliefs are out of alignment and not the emotions?

The specific core beliefs I’m working on currently go like this: I was taught to believe that you should NEVER ever hurt other people or you’re a bad person. To the point that I learned to abandon myself for others benefit.  It makes it extremely painful for me to break up with people. I’m learning to be more self loving without feeling guilty that I’m a selfish person, but I’m also getting hung up on the belief that everyone else IS me, so if I hurt them by leaving them, I also hurt me; therefore I can’t be happy either way. Ughhh I’m going in circles 😩 Help!

Thanks, it has something in it.

So we just should to be like a child and ask everything WHY? seek within ourselves constantly for motive?

If you want self awareness, then yes. If you don't, then you can always choose not to ask

I have never thought about this question consciously.....what is wrong with wanting a safer and better world?

This is my personal take -

I don't think there is anything "wrong" with it. The shadow is what you don't know that you don't know. So if you know that you're doing it for that reason then it's not a "shadow" anymore in that sense, since you have conscious awarenes. And so, you have free will to continue to use that motive or not.

🤔 A happy XMAS story...   Went to spend holiday with my partner at the time’s family in another state.   Me and her two year old niece were bored to tears with subject matter the adults were after .   They assigned me mind the kid.  I let her lead play the WHOLE day.    She even painted my finger nails (but due to the hand eye coordination of a two year old my fingers were painted as well!).    This was the first time I met the kid and It was really fun.   For TWO years she would ask about me regularly.  It was beautiful evidence of fostering autonomy and competence by being fun, safe and respectful.

    Awwww so cute!

@GabijaCij Can you tell us why it's taken so long? Blake said in an update like two weeks ago that he just finished editing it. I get you guys are putting time stamps on the video and all and that takes a while....but it really feels it's just taking so long. So many of us are really anticipating this workshop! Help?

The audio for the recording isn't very good so we are working on it 🙂
