Issue with Ex husband!

Hey there,

I'm new to the forum and I really hope someone could help me.
I and my ex got divorced a year ago, and we have a 15-year-old son. I have a court order for sole custody of our child, with ex having access. During the summer every alternate week my ex can take our child.
My son was not just an ordinary kid. He was suffering from ADHD. After a year of seeing numerous doctors, specialists and psychologists my son's doctor and I decided to try my son on medication for his ADHD. It was not an easy decision to make. I emailed my ex a month ago with the details of the medication, the frequency and method for giving it and gave him an opportunity to respond. He didn't respond to that issue on the email. So the doctor and I decided to start the medication. The doctor insisted me never to fail giving medicines to my son.

But when he went with my ex he didn't allow my son to take medicines. I'm really fed up of my husbands controlling nature. Should I go against him in the court or should I start searching for some other options? A friend of mine suggested me this ADHD coaching in Toronto. She said that this place is really good for kids like my son. I'm totally confused. Please help me out.

Unfortunately in a divorce most of the times the adults can't put aside their differences and do what is best for the child. It has become a power game between the two of you and your son in the middle. I am sure both of you want what is best for your child but as long as this power game goes and and your son being used as a shield, there is no solution.

The adhd coaching sounds like a good option. A healthy environment makes all the difference with children. Drugs may be convenient but not always the best option but certainly lucrative for the players involved.
