Blind to dim light - Need help!

Hi!! My mom is 60 years old and she is not able to see things properly. She became completely blind to dim light and she did not say anything about it. Last day, she tripped on stairs and was taken to a nearby GP and he said that she has cataract. He advised her to undergo cataract surgery from Austin at the earliest.
While researching online, I saw about full focus cataract surgery. I have heard that the procedure is pain-free and also the surgery takes approximately 20 minutes. I have convinced my mom to undergo the surgery. She is concerned about the healing time. She asked me if she can completely get rid of glasses after this surgery. Since I have no idea regarding the procedure, can anyone share your views? Has anyone here undergone this full focus cataract surgery? How was your experience?

@shirl90, mostly all illness coming from our living style, we have to remember how many years our body in that environment. Surgery is invasion in to living cells, they become ill during years of wrong care. Pretend you go for surgery and after that you continue to live style as before how long you going to be ok? Have you tried alternative medicine methods, diet, exercises? By the way this is family routine.
