Hi All,
What do you think might be the psychological cause of heartburn? It usually starts only when I do sports (like jogging), but sometimes I can feel it without making any effort. I know a  bit about what kind of food tends to trigger it. I'm more interested in the mental aspect of that ailment, but if you have your own thoughts related to diet, you can share them here as well. :)

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi, I am sorry that I don't know about the psychological cause behind heart burn. But I know some food that cause it like coffee, spicy foods, garlic, onion, orange and orange juice. These all cause me heart burn.

Hi Krzysztof,

Attached is an excerpt from the book "Your Body's Telling You Love yourself". Apparently heartburn has to do with suppressed desire which gets transformed into anger. So I guess the question you have to ask yourself is: is there something you want, but aren't allowing yourself to have?
