Conflict between what I want and what inner voice tells

Dear community,

what would you recommend if there is a conflict between what I want, or seem to want, and what my inner voice tells me? For example 'put out that cigarette' :)

Ask yourself, "Why do I want this thing I think I want?" and you will have your answer. Usually, the answer is a deeper emotional need, for example, smoking a cigarette could be a way to reduce anxiety and stress, so it's not necessarily that you want the cigarette so much as you want a way to ease uncomfortable emotions :)
