Ask Yourself...

#83

What do I refuse to accept about my reality?

(Answer In The Comments Below )
From "100 Of The Most Powerful Questions You Can Ask Yourself"

Nothing has the power to completely alter perspective and therefore your thoughts and actions and life quite like a question. Inquiry leads to understanding. The quality of the answers we arrive at, correspond directly to the quality of question we ask. The better the question, the better the answer. One of the most important things to realize about a question is that a person learns far, far more from the process and work involved in answering a question than from the answer itself. This is why spiritual teachers throughout history (including myself) have tended to pose so many questions to their students rather than to simply offer a direct answer. For this reason, I have selected a collection of 100 of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself.

Make sure to take time to carefully consider each question that is posed in order to meaningfully answer them. And don’t forget to come back to these questions again and again throughout your life, especially whenever you are feeling stuck, because the answers will most likely change over the course of your life and also cause you to change your course in life.

What I refuse to accept about my reality is that what happened in the past can't be changed and I may never get a chance to rectify those mistakes. I may never get a chance to tell that person how much they hurt me and what I really think about them. I will never be able to go back and say that thing I really needed to say but didn't. And there are some people I will most likely never get a chance to finally say I'm sorry to.

That I’m not very superior, that im average, ordinary,

my physical appearance, that I’m ugly and not very nice to look at, that I don’t have much or any talent, that i wasn’t meant to be incredibly beautiful or great or talented but..mediocre. And often below average.

I refuse to accept that my step daughter and I may never have a relationship again. Currently I refuse to accept that we don't have a relationship right now, and I live in the past of how it used to be.

That I right now channeled a super epic impro solo in a poor microphone, cause the singer had to use the good mic. And I wonder if I can make a solo that heavenly inspired again in a good microphone later.. So I have to accept that this happened, and there is nothing to do about it other than maybe buying an other great mic so Im all set for next home studio sessions.

That I am going to have to learn through my reality. And I have and will make mistakes. That’s how I learn.

I do badly don’t want to accept it, by the way. I want to get it right, EVERY TIME. Who is perfect? And never makes mistakes in relationships and communicating?

I refuse to accept that I alone do actually have all the responsibility for my life and my daughter’s life right now, when the healing experience I so desperately long for is to not be in charge of everyone’s life for once and not carry the burden of constant responsibility. Because I refuse to take the responsibility of creating a life where there is actually less responsibility on me, I am passive and feel powerless a lot of the time.

About MY reality?

Negative things about myself that aren't true, that I have internalized, Im rejecting. Probably that I'm not ready for a relationship l, the feelings I have for my new partner are very strong.

Reality in general is way too harsh for me: that you cant expect others to be compassionate with eachother, for example. (I honestly probably skip reality very often, living in my own world, on a different planet) I dont know.

That's control doesn't actually make you more safe.

That pretending is more detrimental than I think.

That the desire to be good is very valid considering what I was taught to believe about the world and myself in it (and as detrimental to my well being as pretending is).

That my well being is actually the most important thing which means that old patterns that aren't serving me anyone is actually not in alignment with my best interests.

That it's okay to change your mind about EVERYTHING and that life doesn't need to be perfect nor does it need to be lived perfectly. If I accept that reality I'll see that everything has much more to do with following your joy than anything else which is so simple yet challenging.

What I refuse to see about my reality is that reality doesn’t have to match the ideas and beliefs I have and what causing me a lot of pain is that my reality doesn’t match those ideas and beliefs. Reality depends on from what angle you’re seeing it, what you think and feel, your vibrations. Reality is a mere reflection.
