Ask Yourself...

#59

What do I say I “can’t" to?

(Answer In The Comments Below )
From "100 Of The Most Powerful Questions You Can Ask Yourself"

Nothing has the power to completely alter perspective and therefore your thoughts and actions and life quite like a question. Inquiry leads to understanding. The quality of the answers we arrive at, correspond directly to the quality of question we ask. The better the question, the better the answer. One of the most important things to realize about a question is that a person learns far, far more from the process and work involved in answering a question than from the answer itself. This is why spiritual teachers throughout history (including myself) have tended to pose so many questions to their students rather than to simply offer a direct answer. For this reason, I have selected a collection of 100 of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself.

Make sure to take time to carefully consider each question that is posed in order to meaningfully answer them. And don’t forget to come back to these questions again and again throughout your life, especially whenever you are feeling stuck, because the answers will most likely change over the course of your life and also cause you to change your course in life.

Socializing. Succeed. Win. Compete. Look nice. Be excellent. Create something incredibly beautiful exquisite refined and elegant  looking. Honestly the list would be as long as the Great Wall of China

I was raised catholic...I need a clear conscience..... to be able to face myself and my parents and family...so I can't reach out and take what I want sometimes if it means someone else gets screwed... this means I kinda always lose

I say “I can’t” be positive, happy, joyful.

I feel like I associate being happy to being ignorant or unconscious.

Ironically I fall in love with those who allow themselves to be unconscious.

Like the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I feel like I can't find someone who'll love me for me. Someone who'll understand and accept, or atleast help with my flaws.

I also feel like I can't get out of addictions. Damn those EVIL addictions.

I can't be brave. I can't live up to society's standards (or my own standards) of courage and masculinity.

I can't have a life where I'm just happy doing what I truly love doing. I instead have to live out my "soul mission", some god-ordained thing that honestly feels like a chore.

I feel like I can't have a normal life... one where I do what everyone does; have a "normal" job, have "normal" relationships, do normal sh!t. Instead I have to sacrifice all this for a "greater purpose".

Screw spirituality, man.

That I can’t move on in my spiritual journey until I learn how to feel again.

I have to be more flexible. I am resisting this lesson and have procrastinated for weeks, stalling my research completely. Maybe I need to research other things & gain more introspection. Maybe how to feel will come naturally, or I will become more ready to learn this lesson as I learn other things. Keep going, Melissah. You can do this. You can figure this out.
