Ask Yourself...

#53

How do I define success for me personally? And how do I define success for others?

(Answer In The Comments Below )
From "100 Of The Most Powerful Questions You Can Ask Yourself"

Nothing has the power to completely alter perspective and therefore your thoughts and actions and life quite like a question. Inquiry leads to understanding. The quality of the answers we arrive at, correspond directly to the quality of question we ask. The better the question, the better the answer. One of the most important things to realize about a question is that a person learns far, far more from the process and work involved in answering a question than from the answer itself. This is why spiritual teachers throughout history (including myself) have tended to pose so many questions to their students rather than to simply offer a direct answer. For this reason, I have selected a collection of 100 of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself.

Make sure to take time to carefully consider each question that is posed in order to meaningfully answer them. And don’t forget to come back to these questions again and again throughout your life, especially whenever you are feeling stuck, because the answers will most likely change over the course of your life and also cause you to change your course in life.

Fitting into society standards.... yikes.
whatever gets me approval from others, and the same for them

Sadly, me too. It's because we can't conceptualize someone who can positively focus on us lovingly is possible. The desire to change ourselves is because we feel unlovable, therefore resistance. Spiritual people hardly to find soulmate/twin flame because of this. Read self-acceptance/approval on Teal's book Shadows Before Dawn.

I define success for myself as finding my purpose in life and living it. I think this applies to others as well, to avoid being the person that others are or expect us to be. It also means avoiding the traps of arrogance and judgementalism when looking at others.

Success for me means honing my skills to a degree that i can confidently and competently implement positive change in the world. For others, i acknowledge those who've managed to live the life they wanna live without doing any major damage as successful people.

Success to me is subjective, and self created. So whatever desire arises within me/others, and is then met, would be success. The highest success for me (rite now) would be to realize absolute truth/unconditional love experientially

success for me is a life lived in accordance to my values and integrity therefore achieving a high self esteem and self respect.

however if I think deeper, I feel like this is a bullshit because I only want that to  be okay being alone. which indicates I am mostly afraid of creating bonds with others when in fact I want and need intimate relationships the most.

therefore I guess my definition for success is the mastery of relationships. Ooh, since relationship with myself is also a relationship, I guess this is really what I want to succeed in life.

For others, I define success as achieving whatever one wants to achieve in life.

1. Ending my life

2. Letting #1 happen without getting in the fucking way

These 2 things happening without failure = Absolute Success
