Ask Yourself...

#44

If my house was burning and I could only save one item (not a person or pet), what would it be and why?

(Answer In The Comments Below )
From "100 Of The Most Powerful Questions You Can Ask Yourself"

Nothing has the power to completely alter perspective and therefore your thoughts and actions and life quite like a question. Inquiry leads to understanding. The quality of the answers we arrive at, correspond directly to the quality of question we ask. The better the question, the better the answer. One of the most important things to realize about a question is that a person learns far, far more from the process and work involved in answering a question than from the answer itself. This is why spiritual teachers throughout history (including myself) have tended to pose so many questions to their students rather than to simply offer a direct answer. For this reason, I have selected a collection of 100 of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself.

Make sure to take time to carefully consider each question that is posed in order to meaningfully answer them. And don’t forget to come back to these questions again and again throughout your life, especially whenever you are feeling stuck, because the answers will most likely change over the course of your life and also cause you to change your course in life.

I can't think of any item that I have, that I can't replace. And childhood things I have from my past, don't hold much deep feeling. So I'd have to say, my son's stuffed bunny. He'd be destroyed if he lost that bunny, he's 17, and has had it since he was 4, he still sleeps with it. I couldn't watch the heartache in him if he lost it.

Damn! that question made me feel like DID! Many me's answered differently. but this was voted to be the answer.

It may be cheating but it would be my pack bag (as it contains everything I need). All my life is in it and the house was just a place to stay.

Passport.

Only one item. That sucks.

It might sound weird but:

The piece of umbilical cord, wich fell of from my sons belly, after he was a week old. I've kept it, it's in my Wardrobe.

Because it reminds me of his birth and in wich way we are related. And it makes me feel safe and gives me strength and hopeXD

Maybe I'm going to make a box with all the items I feel like belong in that box, and the answer than will be, that boxXD

My passport, so I could leave!

My diary where I write and script my life. Its like an object that is the home for my feelings and thoughts.

My guitar was the first thing that came to mind. My husband bought it for me along with many childhood items but I would save my guitar because it brings me joy when I play, I get lost in it and know that it’s one of my favourite hobbies.
